Joanne Capitano has a rare quality that allows her to touch peoples' lives in a positive fashion that resonates for years to come. She returned to a real estate career after a very successful thirty-year teaching career, when she taught both elementary and high school children, and advanced to a leadership role as School Principal.
Joanne has never lost the thrill of helping people learn or to help them improve their lives. Before she started her teaching career, she was a successful real estate agent for ten years. Joanne is delighted to return to her first career and help people achieve their homeownership goals - whether it's a first-time homebuyer, or a senior making the emotionally charged decision to downsize from a home filled with a lifetime of memories.
As a teacher, she became very good at reading people and understanding their emotions; it's this background that makes her a natural 'empath' and why people, especially seniors, naturally gravitate to her. Her warm personality and ability to help people transition through the most challenging, or emotionally charged home purchase or sale engenders trust and a conviction that Joanne will make everything turn out all right.
Joanne holds a BS degree in Business Administration with a minor in Small Business Management and an MS degree in Education. With such a strong background in Administration and a decade of experience in real estate, it's not surprising that her brother Carl Capitano, a very successful real estate broker, wanted Joanne on his team.
On a personal note, faith is important to Joanne and her family; she volunteers for the Carmelite Sisters of Santa Teresita in Duarte CA. Determined, honest, and caring describes Joanne, and words she lives by are "Never give up! Keep going." It's that attitude that permeates her life and allows her clients to know that they do not need to stress; they can trust that Joanne has all the details covered.
