For those not-perfect properties, John’s experience with the redevelopment and renovation of properties allows him to act as a trusted advisor in the design, layout, and potential for improvement and/or expansion. He specializes in the modernization of vintage Edwardians and Victorians and has consulted on dozens of projects that have been regularly been well-received by the real estate community. Regarding condo-conversion and TIC subdivisions, John has personally converted multiple apartment buildings into condominiums and is a respected resource for the ever-evolving regulations specific to San Francisco and California on subdivision law. He regularly completes market analysis on existing apartment buildings to determine their future viability as TIC projects. He is an expert in the process for obtaining the Final Public Report for subdividing five-unit buildings into TICs, and can instructively advise the client so that project streamlines through the bureaucratic governmental processes. His thorough network of lawyers, budget-preparation resources, surveyors, and contractors ensures that the client is working with the best in the city.
