During the entire process Katie was accessible, always had time and made time for my questions, and never once made me feel pressured to make an offer. Katie is also a lot of fun to work with. I totally enjoyed all of the tours we did. She has a good sense of humor and gives you space when you're exploring to check out and feel out the place on your own. About Katie
I was born and raised in Orange County, CA. and moved to the Bay Area in 2002. As the daughter of a Cal alumnus, I visited the East Bay regularly growing up and dreamed of one day calling the area home. I am proud to have lived that dream for twenty years and feel passionately about continuing to live and raise my children in Oakland, while helping others to make a home here and join me in contributing to the vibrancy of this truly special place. In addition to a career as a realtor, I was a teacher for 22 years. I started my teaching career in New Orleans, after completing a Bachelor’s Degree at Loyola Marymount University. After moving to the Bay Area I have worked at several schools while also completing a Master’s and Ph.D. at The Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley. Through these endeavors I have been lucky to formed an extensive web of relationships that are central to my life. Most importantly with my wife, Shannon, and our three daughters who are her driving force behind everything I do. 
I have worked to create a business that is about relationships, genuine care, and an instinctive understanding of what makes a home. My experiences as a learner, teacher, and parent have taught me crucial values and skills that I bring into my work as a real estate agent. First and foremost, the value of relationship – of listening to people in order to know them and to meet their needs. Second, the values of commitment and follow-through. There is nothing more important to me than being reliable.
