★★★★★"Laurel Conger’s experience, professionalism, kindness and sense of humor guided us through buying a new home and selling our home of 15 years; all during the pandemic. The pandemic hit the real estate market hard about a month after listing our home. Laurel remained calm and focused. She did research, used her resources and when necessary, pivoted, to create a strategy to sell our house. As the market unraveled and unknowns arose, Laurel was a steady and reliable agent, who supported us, and got the job done. - Melissa H.
"Laurel was warm and compassionate while also very practical and smart about the best strategies for selling our home. She took on a lot of the grunt work in getting our house ready for market as we had to move very quickly for a job transfer, and she always arrived with a smile. Her staging was beautiful, and she spent a great deal of time marketing our house with professional photos and videos. She was also very patient, even when we got frustrated with the process. Her instincts are rock solid, and when we listed our home in the window she thought would be most effective, we received an offer, above asking, within 24 hours. We cannot recommend Laurel enough; she is EVERYTHING you want in a realtor. - David G.
"You know if you need to have someone “walk you through the process “ of buying and selling a house then Laurel should be your agent. I have had experience with buying and selling before (also working with Laurel) but this present situation was by far the greatest challenge. I have reached out to her Several times in the off hours and she has responded quickly. She is not an 8 to 5 realty agent. You always need someone to encourage you beyond your comfort zone when necessary and someone to pull you back into realty at other times. This realty agent is a cross between a coach and a counselor! I am lucky enough to call her a friend as well! - Mary N.
"As those of you reading this review already know - the residential real estate market in Alexandria and Arlington is very competitive. We came to Laurel having spent the first few weeks of our home buying search with a different agency experiencing varying degrees of effort and quality of thought. The juxtaposition was night and day.
Laurel is exceptional. Beyond the typical expectations of an agent (knowledge of the market, responsiveness, setting up showings, comparable assessments), of which she is a consummate professional, Laurel provided significant value-add. She is able to leverage strong relationships with other agents and residents to keep you one step ahead. She doesn't wait for you to ask to see a house, she is proactive in bringing you options that may not be readily available online in addition to the ones you covet. To put it simply, she will fight for your best interests.
We closed on a house we didn't think we would find, in a neighborhood we didn't think we could afford, for a price we didn't think we could get. - Andrew L.

All of her boys have gone to George Mason Elementary, a local public school serving parts of Northridge, Jefferson Park, Beverly Hills, and Braddock Heights neighborhoods. Laurel's oldest son is now 21 and attends UVA, her second son just graduated from TC Williams High School and the youngest is now a sophomore at TC Williams.
Laurel graduated from Texas A&M in 1990. Texas is where she learned the importance and effect of kindness, and she shows it to everyone. Laurel truly enjoys helping people find and purchase their next home and quickly and efficiently selling their current home.
Laurel was a professional organizer for many years and learned through her experiences about the psychology of process and how systems put in place can put people at ease. She finds herself using those same principles in real estate. The best compliment she can receive is when a buyer or seller comments on how simple she has made the whole process, buying or selling. It is one of the most important decisions you will make in your life. Laurel can help to take the stress away with her knowledge of the process and neighborhood.
