About Lawrence
Prior to being affiliated with Compass, Lawrence O'Toole owned his own boutique real estate company, Lawrence O'Toole Realty, in New York's Hudson Valley for eight years, during which time the company consistently led with the highest average price in residential sales. Lawrence's 20+year career in real estate also saw him work with a number of high-powered agencies in New York City, where he has kept -- and still keeps -- a residence since 1980.
Lawrence's knowledge and patience, the result of both his years as a principal broker as well as a working sales agent, is second only to his creativity in getting a deal going -- and then done.
He believes his move to Palm Springs and the desert has pretty much landed him in Paradise.
Born and raised in a small fishing village in Newfoundland, Canada, her is extremely well-travelled and well-informed, having also enjoyed a successful career as a journalist for 25 years, writing and editing for a variety of publications, the New York Times foremost among them, and is the author of a memoir called Heart’s Longing: Newfoundland, New York and the Distance Home.
