With deep roots in Lake Forest and Lake Bluff and decades of proven success, Marina Carney is known for her market insight, strategic approach, and unwavering commitment to her clients. She brings a rare combination of local expertise, strong negotiation skills, and a warm, relationship-driven style that instantly puts buyers and sellers at ease.

Since launching her real estate career in 1991, Marina has become one of the North Shore’s most trusted and respected real estate professionals. Clients value her professionalism, attention to detail, and the genuine care she puts into every step of the process. Her goal is simple: to create an experience that is smooth, informed, and successful. With a reputation built on trust and exceptional service, Marina continues to be a standout real estate partner for families and individuals throughout the North Shore.

A lifelong resident of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff, Marina attended Lake Forest Country Day School, Woodlands Academy, and later the University of Utah and Richmond College in London. She raised her three children in the Lake Forest Schools and remains an active community volunteer. Her service includes numerous local boards such as The Lake Forest Garden Club (GCA), the Elawa Farm Foundation, the Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Women’s Board, The Allendale Shelter Club, and the Village of Lake Bluff, where she served as a Trustee. She currently sits on the board of the Lake Forest History Center.

Beyond real estate, Marina brings a deep love of the outdoors and a sharp business acumen, honed while managing her family’s 6,000-acre cattle ranch and agri-business in Wyoming, where she oversaw the successful sale of the ranch after 50 years of family ownership. When she’s not working, she can often be found fly-fishing or hunting with her husband, embracing the wide-open Western landscapes she loves.

In 2025, Marina proudly welcomed her daughter, Marina Vernon, to the team. Drawing on her marketing and operations experience with Sazerac and Terlato Wines, Marina Vernon brings a fresh, innovative perspective that enhances the team’s ability to connect with today’s buyers and sellers while continuing the Carney legacy of excellence on Chicago’s North Shore.
