Born in Manhattan, Cristina Scarano has lived in various places around the world--Puerto Rico, Connecticut, Wisconsin, and studied in Paris, France and Perugia, Italy--before finding her home in Miami over 15 years ago. Despite her world travels, Cristina has found that she loves experiencing the evolution of the city of Miami into the sophisticated town that it has become. Her passion for the lifestyle of South Florida and wanting to share that with others brought her into a career in real estate.
As an entertainment lawyer, Cristina has spent much of her career working in television production and distribution here in South Florida. Her strong work ethic and expertise helped her rise to leadership positions, including as head of the business and legal affairs departments of leading international television studios. Cristina decided that she should combine her professional diligence and organizational skills with her desire to showcase the city that she loves and pursue real estate. She now specializes in the areas of Brickell, Miami Beach, and the greater Miami area condos and single-family homes.
A member of the Geane Brito group at Compass, Cristina is excited to work for a company and team that truly puts their clients first, and whose priority on technology can help streamline the real estate process for all. Her focus is on building relationships with her clients and in the community and using the efficiency she has developed in her professional life to help her clients achieve their goals in the timeline they expect.
Cristina’s diverse educational background includes an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison; a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami; critical studies with a focus on New Wave French Cinema at the Sorbonne in Paris; and Italian Renaissance Studies at the University for Foreigners in Perugia, Italy. She was named to the Legal 500’s General Counsel Powerlist: Latin American Specialists, and is a member of the Advisory Board for the University of Miami School of Law’s L.L.M. in Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law. Cristina enjoys contemporary art, working out, and dining at new restaurants. She is fluent in English and Spanish and conversational in French.
