Michael Chilcoat

Mike first moved to Colorado in 1993. The son of a West Point First Captain and Harvard MBA, he spent much of his younger life back-and-forth between Europe and the States as a nomadic Army brat but has been living and working in various resort communities of the Rocky Mountains since. 

Having lived all over Colorado, as well as Utah, Montana, all the way to Oregon and back, he landed in Aspen in 2019 and decided this was THE place!

Mike has been shooting luxury and high-end RE photography and video for years, and brings that skill set to Compass, which allows him and his team to showcase their sale and rental properties in the best possible ways. 

 

A veteran himself,  Mike brings many other skills and perspectives to the table from working in a wide range of industries and business over the years. From high-level bicycle racing and competition, to product management/design and sales in the bicycle and ski industries in Taiwan and China, to teaching and running fly-fishing guide services on destination Western rivers for many years. 

On the mountain, he's taught skiing, snowboarding, telemark skiing, and nordic. He loves teaching, connecting with, and taking care of people! 

In his spare time these days you'll find Mike paragliding high over Aspen in the mornings, foiling on Twin Lakes, or out on the mountain bike. 

He thinks Aspen, Snowmass and the Roaring Fork Valley truly offer the best of Rocky Mountain living. The beauty, culture and community, nature, and year-around outdoor activity, are second to none.
