About Emily
Emily was born in Manhattan and grew up in Brazil, Italy, and on the Upper East Side. Her passion for real estate was inspired by an abiding interest in architecture, sense of place, and people, and she loves the satisfaction of helping clients invest and sell wisely. An experienced renovator and builder, Emily brings a renovator’s eye for how to make a good property even better, maximizing value and enjoyment.

Emily started her real estate career 20 years ago, buying townhouses and converting them to condominiums in Park Slope and Boerum Hill, building contacts among trusted architects, contractors, plumbers, electricians, expediters, engineers, real estate attorneys, and the community at large. After moving into brokerage services in 2005, Emily has worked with buyers, sellers, and landlords in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Her expertise has been featured in media outlets on subjects ranging from the pros and cons of coop ownership in “The Real Deal” to green, sustainable building practices in “Natural Homes.”

A graduate of Brown University and the University of Southern California, Emily holds a BA in Religious Studies and an MFA in Film and Television. Prior to working in real estate she produced a national, public radio program for WNYC on health and science; and numerous award-winning television documentaries for PBS, the Sundance Channel, and others. Emily likes to travel and is happy to have friends and family in other countries including the United Kingdom, Brazil, Italy, Sweden, Ireland, as well as across the United States. She speaks conversational Italian as well as some Portuguese, French, and Spanish. Emily has recently taken up running again; in her spare time she can also be found shopping for greens at a farmer’s market, volunteering with local organizations, and enjoying New York’s museums and public parks.
