Gretchen graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Germanic languages. She holds an MBA from Simmons College in Boston. Born in Texas, Gretchen lived in Boston for many years prior to moving with her family to Europe, returning to the USA after seventeen years abroad. With a concentration in quantitative analysis, Gretchen has worked in financial modeling and analytics for investment companies, consulted with USAID on projects supporting women-owned businesses in emerging markets, served on the board of the American School of Warsaw performing a pivotal role in the financing, design and construction of a new 1200 student K-12 US Embassy school. More recently, Gretchen worked for Neuralytix, a New York firm concentrating on Big Data and Cloud Computing. She consulted for a Belgian real estate firm, Chapps Inspector, in its exploration of the US market.
Gretchen's loves are her family, traveling, piano and the Boston Red Sox. She speaks English, German and Polish.
