Stephen McArdle has enjoyed a distinguished career in real estate marked by
great success and diverse experience in the Manhattan market. After working
as a real estate appraiser in the early 1990s, Stephen quickly rose to
become one of the top producing brokers in New York as a new development
expert and real estate advisor for individual owners and investors.
Excelling throughout his 15+ year career, Stephen extensive resume includes
the sale of over 1,300 residential units to date.
Previously a developer himself, Stephen possesses a deep understanding of the new development process, from concept and design to construction and development, all the way through to sales. He prides himself on having a hand in every aspect of new development, having spearheaded the creative marketing and branding for 20+ building projects and served as a top consultant to New York’s upper echelon of developers. This rare and expansive resume has allowed Stephen to provide invaluable insight as an expert real estate advisor to his client base.
After years running his own real estate sales and marketing firm, Stephen went on to become a top producer at a leading brokerage firm in the city before joining Compass. In addition to new development, his true forte is providing stellar one-on-one service to buyers, sellers, and renters, whether they are looking for their New York City dream home or the best return on investment.

A native New Yorker, Stephen resides with his family in Lower Manhattan. Stephen co-founded Walk With Us NYC, a foundation dedicated to supplying much-needed shoes and socks to homeless children, women and men of New York City. He serves as Finance Chair of the James Jay Dudley Luce Foundation, supporting young global leadership that impact positive social change. He also serves as Finance Chair of Orphans International Worldwide. Additionally, he is co-founder of the Gary Larsen Foundation, which raises supplemental funds for organizations like Ronald McDonald House and Make-A-Wish Foundation, among others. Stephen previously worked as a parent representative on the city’s task force on overcrowding in Lower Manhattan schools. He, his wife Toni, and their four sons pride themselves on their shared commitment to community.
