Adventurous hikes on the Greenbelt, a steady supply of breakfast tacos, freezing leaps into Barton Springs, and nights spent attempting to fit in the many arts, music and social events the city has to offer are merely a snippet of the reasons Rachel fell head-over-heels in love with Austin when she moved here four years ago.
She arrived in Austin after spending five years in Boston and was wildly confused by how friendly everyone was relative to the majority of her life experience growing up on the East Coast. She quickly realized that she had found her city. While she enjoys traveling, every time she is on her way home and realizes she is moments from Austin, she feels a rush of happiness and that feeling of contentment that can only be attributed to knowing “I am home.”
Having a home that makes you feel good is an inherent human experience that she understands and deeply desires everyone to have. What “home” is for you changes everything. Since an early age, she has been committed to building community and improving the quality of life for everyone. During her first few years in Austin, she worked at the National Domestic Violence Hotline as an advocate and then manager. This experience helped her to grow and further develop skills that serve her in all areas of her life. She is calm and clear-headed under stress, a good listener and communicator, empathic, compassionate, act in line with her ethics, hard-working and loyal.
One of her strengths is listening to people and asking the right questions to find out what they want. Once this relationship of understanding is formed, she thrives at being able to facilitate the easiest way to achieve their goal. Once she starts working with someone she becomes invested in their well-being and happiness and will always put in the time and effort to meet their needs.
Rachel’s journey has led her to understand the necessity of self-care and intentionally building joy into your life. One of the ways she has found this is through her love of aerial arts, dance, and gymnastics. She loves performing and creating thoughtful aesthetics. She has found outlets for her creativity through teaching at an aerial studio as well as working as a personal assistant and home organizer and designer. Rachels other great love is her dog Mica who has been her partner in further exploring all of what Austin has to offer.
No matter what your real estate needs are, she will work hard to help you achieve your goals.
