As a real estate consultant, Alina is dedicated to helping buyers and sellers in San Francisco and throughout the Bay Area.
She enjoys representing a first-time homebuyer as much as she enjoys representing a seasoned investor or a luxury property seller or buyer.
Alina is a San Francisco home owner herself and served as her building's HOA Board President for the past two years. She is happy and proud to report that in this capacity she initiated and led the construction defects litigation against the developer, a long and complicated process that successfully settled this year.
When it comes to condo-related issues, Alina has an experience-based point of view about all aspects of condo owning and overall HOA financial health.
Living in Potrero Hill/Dogpatch, she is taking an interest in the neighborhood's future development and actively participating in the community happenings.
Alina brings extensive business, marketing, public relations, journalism, and economic research experience to her real estate practice. As a student, she discovered a passion for journalism and broadcasting and went on to coordinate the launching of a national newspaper in post-communist Romania. She wrote hundreds of syndicated articles, covering economical and political issues. Her passion for global affairs eventually translated into a PhD in Economics. Prior to her real estate career, Alina held positions of responsibility for economic development organizations, multinational corporations, and nonprofits. She also successfully established and managed a San Francisco-based import business for home decoration.
Alina considers herself an international citizen, which is a reflection of the city she proudly represents. There is nothing more rewarding for her than sharing the complex San Francisco real estate process with buyers and sellers from all over the world and all over the country. After a rigorous training, she obtained the Certified International Properties Specialist (CIPS) accreditation.
Being a realtor is also a local business. Doing business in your community means getting to know and support other local enterprises. Alina constantly discovers new restaurants, homegrown artists, music and concert venues, parks, and simple ways to enjoy what San Francisco has to offer. She is thoroughly knowledgeable about the nuances of different neighborhoods and always aware of changing trends, recognizing where there is new potential.
Local and global needs of humanity are some of Alina's deepest concerns. She worked in public relations for Holt International Children's Services, an international organization based in Oregon, and she continues to support their activities in the Bay Area as a volunteer and donor. Locally, she supports organizations such as Earned Assets Resource Network (EARN), Meals on Wheels, and San Francisco Food Bank.
Arts and academic life always bring enriching and enlightening experiences for Alina. She is a member of SF Jazz, San Francisco Film Society, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Commonwealth Club, and California Alumni Association (CAA).
