Megan obtained her real estate license in 2007, when she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from St. Mary’s College in Moraga. After graduating, Megan worked with a top realtor in San Diego at the beginning of the Great Recession. During these two years when the real estate market was in a constant state of chaos between erratic lending guidelines and unpredictable property valuations, Megan quickly learned how to navigate a challenging business with tenacity, poise and judicious troubleshooting.
In 2010, Megan returned to the Bay Area to pursue a Master of Arts in Philosophy at San Francisco State University and continued to work part-time in the real estate sphere. Upon completion of her graduate degree in 2014, Megan was eager to focus her full attention on a career in the industry and joined her mother, Kim McAtee, as a full-time Realtor. With formal training in propositional logic, strategic analysis and various forms of composition, Megan has honed a skill set emphasizing clear communication and resourceful rationale- a combination integral to a knowledgeable, trusted agent.
Organization, meticulous attention to detail, extensive planning and efficient practice all contribute to her success as a Realtor. Whether buying or selling, every individual has a unique set of needs requiring a customized plan of attack and Megan is adept at helping to identify and achieve these specific real estate goals for her clients.
As an East Bay native and third generation Northern Californian, Megan is extremely familiar with the local schools and neighboring communities of the Lamorinda area as well the general San Francisco Bay. Megan is an active member of the Junior League of Oakland-East Bay and when not volunteering or serving her clients, she and her husband are usually off sampling the many culinary treasures this great area has to offer.
