Slope-Side Aspen Mansion in Aspen Enters the Market for $100 Million

As reported in The Wall Street Journal, a slope-side mansion in Aspen, Colo., is on  the market for $100 million. The property is listed by Steven Shane of Compass

The property could hit a record if it sells for close to 100 million according to Mr. Shane.

Property records show that Joel Tauber, a Detroit manufacturer and philanthropist, purchased the home for just over $9 million in 1996. Set on 1.4 acres, the home was built in 1979 and renovated in 2015, records show. 

The home is built into the side of Aspen Mountain, Mr. Shane said. The house is a whopping 14,200 square feet with ten bedrooms, two kitchens and plenty of outdoor space.
