The kitchen has new windows to bring in more natural light as well as sola-tubes in the upstairs hallway. All new kitchen cabinets were installed. The home had an old brick incinerator that was made into a pull-out coffee bar. The appliances were updated to a mid-century line by Big Chill Retro Appliances with a beautiful pine wood countertop. Also installed a new steel beam for support in the main living area and also installed lots of mood lighting in the ceiling and kickplates under kitchen cabinets and fireplace hearth. The live edge wood countertop to sit upon a mid-century breeze block base. The countertop is made from 100 yr. old cypress tree. Besides wood floors there is also 4 styles of terrazzo floor styles is different areas of the house. Added an Artichoke pendant light in the kitchen and a 1950's Marianne Brandt German pendant chandelier in the stairway space. The wood floors were brought to their natural tiger white oak flooring beauty. To create a cohesive indoor to outdoor connection, a doorway was added and an outside staircase to tie the inside main floor to the newly created grill area. Besides the grill, this area has a TV connection, big fan for air movement and roof area. A screened in porch area was added outside the lower-level master bedroom. A new fountain was created/added by the front door. Behind the this home, is a two car garage with an art room/ extra room and a garage office.
