This unique and durable system was incorporated into Mr. Wiebel's personal home. The current sellers are the third owners of this unique home, with a great room which features 18 foot ceilings. The unique wooden trusses in the spectacular skylit great room and kitchen, feature a tongue and groove pine ceiling. Instead of traditional floor underlayment, since this was the builder's personal home, he used pine tongue and groove boards as the underlayment for further durability. The great room features a soaring 18 foot high granite field stone natural fireplace, which has been converted to gas and can be converted back to logs, if desired. The woodwork is red oak and the cabinets are as well. The rear yard features a 24' by 15' pond with a roughly 6 foot high waterfall. The pond is a natural wildlife refuge which is the home of many beautiful and rare koi, which have babies each year. Seller will leave a large number of koi for the new owner. The pond also features frogs and at certain times of the year, mating ducks. The pond is scheduled for annual cleaning and opening at the end of May, at Seller's expense. Opening was delayed due to heavy rain. The pond requires little maintenance and uses natural bacteria for sanitizing. The koi hibernate when the temperature is below 55 degrees because of the 4 foot depth and do not need to be fed at that temperature. Seller can show buyer how to open and close the pond if a service is not desired. The exterior grounds feature a large fenced in back yard with a newer vinyl fence, a large open space adjacent to the home on the South side, and an underground sprinkler system, which seller will have reopened for summer, and two beautiful Japanese magnolias which bloom in early spring. There is a possibility for expansion in that there is an area in the attic that could be made into a small office or loft overlooking the foyer.
