Niederhurst's parklike features, such as imported copper beech trees from England, planted by Gilman in the 1870s, still dominate the landscape today. The property's Fern Lodge, built in 1866 and The Stable, built in the 1870s, are additional structures on the property. In addition, there are several out buildings: a stone shed, an small observatory converted to a cote (for birds), an antique barn and shed.
