The vanities are Cubik from Idea Group with Robern touch sensitive incandescent lighting. Both baths have radiant heated floors and Kohler fixtures.
At the east end of the apartment is the primary bedroom suite. The views north run from Seward Park to midtown- the Empire State Building center stage. To the south and east are magical bridges and open skies. The TV here is already installed and connected to your second Sonos zone. The freestanding wall behind the bed has built in nightstands and custom wallpaper hand painted in China. Both bedrooms have blackout shades behind the Roman shades, which can be positioned separately at a touch. You have double access to the 16x7 windowed walk-in closet, which has been customized by California Closets. A full length beveled mirror, safe, and numerous drawers and hanging compartments with storage up to ceiling height are ready for you to unpack.
The windowed master bath has the same fixtures and components mentioned above, but with a separate tub and double walk in shower that has a linear drain and converts to a steam room with an interior touch pad control system and built-in drop down bench.
The apartment was gutted to the exterior walls and was foam insulated for sound against walls and both slabs . The double paned, double hung Marvin windows are all new. There are new steam radiators, new central heat and AC with all new mechanicals, ductwork and condenser, newly rewired circuit panels with 200 amperage, and a Nest thermostat. Every light plate in the home is on a dimmer switch. Built in 1912, the Garfield Building was converted to condominiums in 2005 and has only 13 units across 9 floors. It is very private and on a quiet block in the heart of the best of the Lower East side near Dimes, Cervo’s, Dirt Candy, JaJas Mexicana, Dhamahka, and Contra; as well as countless galleries, shops, the International Center of Photography, and the new Essex Market. The F train is one block away, as is Seward Park. The building has bike storage and recently updated its interiors and intercoms, which are tech savvy and cell phone operated.
